A family in Fort Myers had a surprise guest for dinner.
The McCaslin family was seated for dinner when an unidentified man abruptly burst through the front door.
Brian McCaslin was sitting at the table with his two teenage daughters when they thought they heard someone knocking at the door.
“As I walked out of the area we were eating dinner at, there was an individual in the living room or front door area proceeding to advance into my house,” McCaslin said. “He was in. He was in the house.”
The man had on only a bathing suit; however, that was not the most surprising part of the interaction.
“He started to tell me that he was a ghost and I shouldn’t be able to see him. He was shocked that I could see him. He thought he was walking around and that nobody could see him.”
McCaslin tried to get the man to head back out the front door.
“I could tell his behavior was not normal,” he said. “Who knows what this person might do if they have a chance to think?”
At some point the man ran outside and locked himself in a truck being used by a nearby tree-cutting crew.
“He said he doesn’t have a home, and he’s going to make their truck his home,” McCaslin said.
The man was eventually coaxed out of the truck by the tree trimmers, but then fled.
“He was definitely something,” said McCaslin, who called the police and filed a report.
“Hopefully we can find this individual and get them the help that they need.”
