NO KIDS ALLOWED! Says Restaurant

On March 8th, Nettie’s House of Spaghetti in Tinton Falls, New Jersey will be enforcing a new policy – no children under ten years old beyond its doors. As announced via the restaurant’s Facebook page, this rule is meant to ensure that guests can enjoy their meals peacefully while dining there.

The restaurant issued a statement, sharing that although it wasn’t an easy decision to make, certain recent events have pushed them to implement the new policy.

They felt it was the best decision for their business, but understood that some of their customers would be unhappy, “especially those of you with very well-behaved kids.”

The Facebook post generated a flurry of responses, collecting nearly 20,000 reactions and a staggering 5,000 shares across social media.

In a post comment, the restaurant further elaborated that, “having kids run around in circles while our staff are trying to maneuver trays of food and drinks has made it incredibly hard for us to do our jobs.”

In 2018, a restaurant situated on California’s famed Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey made headlines when it declared its ‘anti-children’ policy – and quickly drew attention from mothers everywhere.

“No strollers, no high chairs, no booster chairs. Children crying or making loud noises are a distraction to other diners, and as such are not allowed in the dining room” said a sign outside the restaurant.

Yelp reviews for the restaurant were polarizing, with some patrons expressing their disdain for the policy and others specifically seeking out a tranquil atmosphere free from noisy kids.
