Tom Brady, NFL legend, has developed a plan for a new career in stand-up comedy, but his close friends have been attempting to dissuade him from it, according to RadarOnline.com.
“Tom was a terrific quarterback, but he needs to toss this idea before it’s too late,” said someone who had listened to his material.
As Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Rita Moreno gushed over him in the recent comedy film 80 for Brady, the Tampa Bay Buc’s ego was boosted, and sources said the encounter made him feel like an all-pro comic.
The insider claimed the ladies were sweet to him and he did a wonderful job reading professionally written material, but that he’ll be playing in a different league if he takes on the stand-up stage.
“What did the linebacker say to the flight attendant? Put me in coach” was one of his less-than-funny jokes.
The source admitted Brady does do “a great impersonation of former teammate Rob Gronkowski — and his over-the-top Boston accent is hilarious” though.
