The Court Granted TGIF’s Motion To Be Dismissed From The Suit, Ruling That The Restaurant As A Franchisor Could Not Be Responsible For Any Misbranding Since All It Did Was License Its Trademarked Logo To Inventure Foods Who Then Made The Snack In Question.
Thomas A. Zimmerman, Jr., Joseph’s lead lawyer, stated to today.com that they are content with the judge’s ruling. The claims mentioned in the lawsuit have justification and should not be written off according to the judge- which gives them permission to continue fighting Inventure Foods as part of a class action lawsuit representing customers who purchased TGI Friday’s mozzarella sticks across the nation..
