Former British Prime Minister Truss High Odds of Appearing on Reality TV Show

Former British prime minister Liz Truss became a favorite to participate in the reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

According to the UK tabloid The Sun, the betting site OLBG says that Tory MP Truss is presently listed at odds of 25/1 to be among the upcoming group of celebrities to enter the jungle.

This follows in the footsteps of former British Health Secretary Matt Hancock who leapt at the chance to spend some time in the jungle and eventually advanced to the final.

According to the betting community, Truss may decide to test her abilities after Hancock’s “fairly positive” performance.

In 2022 Truss, 47, set an unfortunate milestone when she resigned on her fifty-first day in office to become the UK’s shortest-serving prime minister.

Truss made it clear last month that while she didn’t ‘regret’ her brief service, she would never again accept the position of Prime Minister again.

Notwithstanding the fact that she is still a sitting MP and occupied with servicing the needs of her South West Norfolk constituents, she would likely face less opposition than Hancock did if she decided to travel to Australia.

Although Hancock received a lot of criticism for his decision, he did earn a staggering $395,000 (£320,000) for taking part in the reality show.

It’s thought there’s a chance that what was known as the “lettuce live stream” might return if Liz throws her hat in the ring. After the Economist, while Truss was in office, said she had the “shelf life of a lettuce” a tabloid started a live stream showing a lettuce with googly eyes next to a picture of Truss. The question they posed was “Can Liz Truss outlast this lettuce?”

    (Hint: she didn’t).
