Arnold Schwarzenegger Patches Road Hole City Has Ignored

Arnold Schwarzenegger decided to patch the huge pothole in his Los Angeles neighborhood himself after becoming frustrated with it.

The former California governor and actor posted a video of himself and a volunteer fixing a road in his Brentwood neighborhood.

“Today, after the whole neighborhood has been upset about this giant pothole that’s been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it,” Schwarzenegger said on Twitter. “I always say, let’s not complain, let’s do something about it. Here you go.”

A neighbor shouted her appreciation for the action movie star through the open window of her vehicle.

“You’re welcome,” replied Schwarzenegger, who was dressed in work boots, a leather jacket, and sunglasses similar to those he wore in the movie “Terminator.”

“You have to do it yourself. This is crazy. For three weeks I’ve been waiting for this hole to be closed,” the actor and politician said.

According to Schwarzenegger spokesperson Daniel Ketchell, Brentwood homeowners have requested repairs numerous times since winter storms exposed potholes and cracks in the neighborhood’s roads.

Last week, Mayor Karen Bass unveiled a strategy to deal with the city’s high number of damaged streets. Officials said that as of April 6, employees had repaired at least 17,549 potholes out of the 19,692 service requests for repairs, requests received since December  30th.
